Rangpur
Industry and Trade Fair begins
RANGPUR:
Month-long 'Rangpur Industry and Trade Fair- 2016' was inaugurated in the
district. State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development &
Cooperatives Alhaj Moshiur Rahman Ranga, MP, opened the fair as the chief
guest.
Rangpur
Chamber of Commerce & Industry (RCCI) and Rangpur Women Chamber of Commerce
& Industry (RWCCI) jointly organised the fair under management of Messer's
J R Pharma at Police Lines Ground in the city.
RCCI
President Abul Kashem presided over the launching ceremony where the chief
guest along with other invited guest formally inaugurated the fair by releasing
balloons and cutting ribbon.
The fair is
being organised for expanding export market, promoting industrialisation and
enhance production of quality goods by local entrepreneurs, exhibition and
introduction of their produced goods for expanding business, trade and
commerce.
The State
Minister put importance on increasing production of export quality goods
ensuring international standard to create demand and acceptance of those both
in the local as well as competitive global markets to take the nation forward.
"The
fair would play vital role in creating newer entrepreneurs, especially female
entrepreneurs, and employment opportunity for the common people through
flourishing industrialisation and economy of the backward Rangpur region,"
he said.
Later, the
State Minster visited the 95 stalls set up by the private sector entrepreneurs,
industries, bodies and organisations from all over the country in the fair.-SAA
